Booking your driving lessons is easy! Simply visit our website and choose either a 2-hour driving lesson or a package of five 2-hour lessons. You'll need a bank or credit card to book. All lessons and packages need to be paid for in advance. Once you have purchased you lesson or package, login to your account at the top right of the website. If you are using us for the first time you will need to set up an account using the email address you used to purchase your lessons. Once you are logged in you can view your bookings and subscriptions. Students who have bought a package and have not redeemed all their lessons, can book in for lessons by clicking on this link. Make sure you are logged in to redeem your lessons.

For the Quick Pass Academy, students need to book in at least 60 days in advance of starting the course and give 30 days' notice for cancellations. Bookings cannot be taken online for this course. Get in touch with us to secure your spot.

Bring your provisional driving licence for Category B (private car) plastic and paper part and if you wear glasses or contact lenses, have them with you. You’ll also need your licence on the day of your test. If you don’t have a provisional licence yet, you can apply online through the Driver & Vehicle Agnecy (DVA)

Go to the top right of the website and click "Login". Login with the email address you used to purchase the package. Once logged in click on the downwards arrow (beside the icon of a person) to reveal options and click "My Subscriptions". In this section it will show you how many sessions you have left. Go to Book Online to book any lessons you have left.

At the Driving Test Centre at Hydebank, 4a Hospital Road, Ballydollaghan, Belfast, BT8 8JL. Lisburn test centre also covered. You need to book in for your driving test with the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA).

A two hour lesson gives you more time to fully learn new skills and practice them, helping you progress faster and build confidence. One hour often feels rushed, limiting your ability to practice and reinforce what you’ve learned.

A longer lesson also allows for more flexibility to cover different areas, such as driving in various conditions or tackling more complex manoeuvres.

All lessons are taught in a manual car equipped with modern features like an automatic handbrake and hill start assist to make learning easier.

Learning in a manual car gives you the flexibility to drive both manual and automatic vehicles after you pass your test. If you learn in an automatic, you’ll be restricted to driving automatic cars only.

No, you don’t need to have passed your Theory Test before starting driving lessons. However, you can book and take your Theory Test as soon as you have your provisional licence. It’s a good idea to start preparing for your Theory Test early, even while taking practical lessons, to stay on track for booking your driving test. Visit the Driver and Vehicle Agency website to book your Therory test.

Your first lesson will include a safety briefing, getting to know the vehicle and starting to learn basic controls. Don’t worry—we’ll take it at your pace!

We recommend booking lessons as early as possible to secure your preferred times, especially during busy periods. All driving lessons and packages are valid for six months from the date of purchase.

For our Quick Pass Academy you need to book 60 days in advance to guarantee lesson times. Contact us to book in. Payment via our website secures your booking.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged the full lesson fee.

You can cancel or reschedule lessons you have already booked by logging into your account at the top right of the website. Go to Login > My Bookings > Manage > Reschedule OR Cancel.

For our Quick Pass Academy 30 days notice must be given for cancellations to receive a full refund.

Yes! Just let us know your preferred location when booking your lesson, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Make sure it is within the Hillsborough, Lisburn, Four Winds, Castlereagh and Belvoir areas.

You'll provide us with your test time, date and centre. We will book a pre-test lesson for an hour before your test time. The price for a pre-test lesson and use of car for the test is £190 (3-hour slot). This can be arranged directly with your instructor.

Upon passing your test you will receive reversible "R" plates. Plus if you are lucky enough to get zero faults you will be presented with a GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) Coin, exclusive to Catherwood School of Motoring.
